Deforestation-risk screening
The recorded assessment uses Whisp from FAO Open Foris and the Forest Data Partnership against the 31 December 2020 cut-off. It supports due diligence but is not an official EU compliance decision or a filed TRACES statement.
Historical forest signals
Ten-year loss and degradation values draw on tropical moist-forest time series. The gain layer covers 2000–2012, so a zero gain value does not establish that no more recent regrowth occurred.
Carbon, canopy and land-cover layers
Carbon is derived from an approximately 2010 NASA/ORNL biomass layer. Canopy and shade-tree ranges are modelled, while water and land-cover classes come from global satellite products that can miss small or seasonal features.
